I’ve been dreaming about dropping into a split for as long as I can remember, it’s on my every new year’s resolution but I was never consistent. Over the last year, I started attending more flexibility classes at Carousel and now I'm amazed looking at my progress photos. The instructors don’t only work on physical skills but also help overcome any mental blocks.

I first tried doing the splits during one of my first flexibility classes in June 2022. I was 2 blocks from the floor. I then started weekly front splits classes in September 2022. I have learnt a lot about my body, what muscles to activate and when, what stretches work best for me in order to get closer to the ground and what I need to focus on to maintain correct alignment and posture. In January 2023, I landed my first front split!
